Kongnamulmuchim || Bean Sprout Salad, Seasoned Bean Sprouts, Soybean sprout side dish, 凉拌豆芽, 涼拌黃豆芽, 豆もやしの和え物, 콩나물무침 1

Blanched bean sprouts seasoned with green onions, garlic, soy sauce and sesame oil. This is one of the most common side dishes served in Korean homes.

Basic Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 bag of bean sprouts
  • Salt
  • Sesame oil
  • Red pepper powder
  • Minced garlic
  • Minced scallions
  • Toasted sesame seeds
  1. Boil a pot of water and add the bean sprouts.
  2. Blanch for 3-5 minutes, or until they are tender-crisp.
  3. Drain them well.
  4. In a large bowl, combine the blanched bean sprouts with salt, sesame oil, red pepper powder, minced garlic, minced scallions, and toasted sesame seeds.
  5. Toss the ingredients together until the bean sprouts are evenly coated with the dressing.
