Dasima ttuggak is a popular Korean snack made from dried kelp. It’s crispy, savory, and a great source of iodine.

Ingredients:

  • 1 sheet of dried kelp (10 x 30 cm)
  • Sesame seeds
  • Sugar

Instructions:

  1. Prepare the kelp:
    • Wipe the kelp clean with a damp cloth.
    • Cut the kelp into 6 x 4 cm pieces.
  2. Fry the kelp:
    • Heat oil to 130℃.
    • Fry the kelp pieces until slightly crispy.
    • Drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
  3. Season:
    • While the kelp is still warm, sprinkle with sesame seeds and sugar.

Additional Notes:

  • Dasima ttuggak: This is the Korean term for the fried kelp snack.
  • 130℃: This is approximately 266 degrees Fahrenheit.
