- Steam the pumpkin until it’s soft and tender.
- Mash the steamed pumpkin into a smooth puree.
- Make the Malt Water:
- Mix the malt powder with 4 cups of water.
- Let it sit for about 30 minutes, then strain the liquid.
- Combine Ingredients:
- In a large pot, combine the pumpkin puree, cooked rice, and malt water.
- Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for about 30 minutes, or until the flavors are well combined.
- Sweeten and Serve:
- Add sugar to taste.
- Let the drink cool completely before serving.
- You can serve it chilled or warm.
Tips:
- For a richer flavor, you can add a pinch of cinnamon or ginger to the drink.
- You can adjust the sweetness to your preference.
- If you don’t have malt powder, you can use malt extract or a malt drink.
