    • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
    • 1 tablespoon fish sauce
    • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
    • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • For Serving:
    • Cooked rice
    • Scallions, chopped
    • Sesame seeds

Instructions:

  1. Boil the Chicken:
    • In a large pot, combine the chicken, water, onion, carrot, leek, red pepper flakes, soy sauce, fish sauce, garlic, and black pepper.
    • Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 1-2 hours, or until the chicken is tender.
  2. Remove the Chicken:
    • Remove the chicken from the broth and shred it.
  3. Season the Broth:
    • Taste the broth and adjust the seasoning with additional soy sauce, fish sauce, or red pepper flakes.
  4. Serve:
    • Divide the shredded chicken and vegetables among bowls.
    • Ladle the hot broth over the chicken and vegetables.
    • Garnish with chopped scallions and sesame seeds.
    • Serve with a bowl of cooked rice.

Tips:

  • For a spicier soup, add more red pepper flakes or gochugaru (Korean chili powder).
